These terms explain how Tech Pro 247 provides repair, support and related technology services. Please read them before asking us to carry out work.
1. About Tech Pro 247
Tech Pro 247 LTD is registered in England and Wales under company number 14721998.
Our business address is:
First Floor Office 1, 64 Wellington Road, Hampton Hill, TW12 1JT.
You can contact us at services@techpro247.co.uk or on 020 7998 6930.
In these terms, “Tech Pro 247”, “we”, “us” and “our” mean Tech Pro 247 LTD. “You” and “your” mean the person or organisation asking for or buying a service.
2. What these terms cover
These terms apply to services that we agree to provide. Additional terms apply to some work:
- our Computer and Laptop Repair Terms apply to repair, diagnosis, upgrades and related device work;
- our Data Recovery and Secure Erasure Policy applies where we expressly agree data recovery, transfer, backup or erasure work; and
- our Computer Buyback Terms apply when you ask us to consider buying a device from you.
If a service-specific term conflicts with these general terms, the service-specific term applies to that service to the extent of the conflict.
Some consumer protections apply only when you are acting mainly outside your trade, business, craft or profession. We may agree separate written terms for business work. Nothing in these terms removes a right or liability that cannot lawfully be limited.
Information on our website is general information. It is not a diagnosis, a confirmed appointment, a final quotation or acceptance of a device for purchase.
3. Requests, bookings and contracts
Submitting a booking, contact or quotation form sends us a request. It does not by itself:
- confirm an appointment, collection or on-site visit;
- authorise chargeable work;
- confirm that a part is available;
- fix a final price or completion date; or
- require us to buy a device.
Repair bookings start with the status Pending Approval. We will review your request and tell you whether we can accept it.
A service contract is formed only when we accept the work and both sides have agreed the material scope and price, or the basis on which the price will be calculated. A quotation, job sheet, booking confirmation, email or invoice may form part of that agreement.
4. Estimates, quotations and changes
An estimate is an informed indication based on what we know at the time. A quotation is based on the stated scope and the information reasonably available to us. Hidden damage, an inaccurate description, unavailable parts or an additional fault may change the work required.
We will explain material additional work or cost and obtain your approval before carrying it out. If you do not approve a revised proposal, we will stop where reasonably possible and explain any amount already due for diagnosis, completed work, specially ordered parts or return of the device that you previously agreed.
Any diagnostic fee, call-out charge, deposit, minimum charge or non-refundable amount must be shown or agreed before it becomes payable. No such charge arises merely because you submit a website form.
5. Prices, payment and appointments
Prices are stated in pounds sterling. A quotation or invoice will say how VAT is treated.
The booking form does not take payment. Workshop drop-off is free for an approved appointment. Where offered and approved, collection and return costs £49.99 in total for both journeys. This charge is separate from diagnosis, repair, labour and parts. Staff assess the address and arrange collection manually; entering an address does not confirm collection or service-area eligibility.
The quotation, confirmation or invoice will state when payment is due and which payment method is accepted. Subject to applicable law, we may keep a device until charges properly due for agreed work have been paid. Keeping a device while an amount is properly due does not transfer ownership to us.
We will provide an appropriate receipt or invoice.
6. Consumer cancellation rights
If a consumer service contract is made wholly at a distance or away from our business premises, statutory cancellation rights may apply. Where they apply, the usual cancellation period for a service is 14 days from the day after the contract is made. We will provide the information and cancellation instructions required for the service concerned.
If you ask us to begin during a statutory cancellation period, we will obtain any separate express request and acknowledgement required by law. If you then cancel, you may have to pay a proportionate amount for work supplied up to cancellation. A cancellation right may end after a service has been fully performed only where the legal requirements have been met.
The rule for a visit specifically requested for urgent repairs is limited. It does not automatically remove cancellation rights for additional services or goods.
These statutory rules are separate from our practical request that you contact us promptly if you need to change an appointment. Properly authorised work and specially ordered parts may affect the amount payable, but only as permitted by law and the agreement.
7. Timescales and availability
We will use reasonable care to provide services within an agreed time or, if no time is agreed, within a reasonable time. Diagnostic and completion dates are estimates unless we expressly agree a fixed deadline.
Parts supply, hidden faults, manufacturer procedures, third-party services and the time taken to receive your decisions may cause delay. We will tell you about a material delay and discuss the available options.
8. Information and authority you must provide
Please give accurate information about the device, fault, previous work, damage, ownership and intended use. Tell us before work begins if a deadline, accessibility need, business dependency or data-preservation priority is important to your decision.
Do not put passwords, recovery keys, payment details, alarm codes, identity documents or sensitive file contents into a website form. If access is genuinely needed for an agreed service, we will explain why and agree an appropriate handover method. Use a temporary credential where practical and change it afterwards.
You must have authority to ask us to work on the device, system, account or premises. You are responsible for lawful licences and for telling us about restrictions that affect the requested work.
9. Remote and on-site services
For remote support, you control when the session starts and should remain available unless we agree otherwise. We will ask only for access needed for the agreed task. You may end a remote session, although authorised work already completed may remain chargeable.
For on-site work, an adult with authority to approve the task must provide safe and reasonable access to the equipment, premises, electricity and network facilities. We may stop or decline work if conditions are unsafe, unlawful or materially different from those described.
10. Our service standard and your legal rights
We will provide consumer services with reasonable care and skill. Information we give about a service may become binding where consumer law says it does. If no price or completion time is fixed, consumer law may require a reasonable price and a reasonable time.
If we do not meet an applicable legal standard, remedies may include repeat performance or a price reduction. Nothing in these terms excludes or restricts statutory rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded.
11. Loss, damage and customer data
We will take reasonable care of equipment in our possession and when carrying out agreed work. We are responsible for loss or damage that is a foreseeable result of our breach of contract or failure to use reasonable care and skill, subject to any lawful and fair limitation agreed for the service.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, breach of rights that cannot be excluded, or any other liability that the law does not allow us to limit.
Computer work carries an inherent risk that an existing or hidden fault may worsen or data may become unavailable. The Repair Terms and Data Recovery and Secure Erasure Policy explain relevant precautions and service limits. A backup responsibility or risk warning does not excuse us from using reasonable care and skill.
Business customers should agree written terms suitable for their systems, continuity needs and recoverable losses.
12. Unpaid charges and uncollected equipment
You must pay charges that were properly disclosed and agreed. When equipment is ready, we will ask you to arrange collection. We request collection within three months after we notify you that the equipment is ready.
We will keep appropriate records of collection requests, contact attempts and outstanding charges. An unpaid invoice or the passing of three months does not transfer ownership of your equipment to us.
If equipment remains uncollected after the requested collection period, we may begin the applicable statutory written-notice process. Where the legal conditions are met, that process may permit a sale under the Torts (Interference with Goods) Act 1977. A formal notice of intended sale will allow the period required by law, including at least three months where that statutory period applies because qualifying charges remain unpaid.
We will pause a proposed sale where a dispute or other legal restriction prevents it. If a lawful sale takes place, we will keep the required records and account for the proceeds after deductions permitted by law. We will not automatically confiscate, sell, dispose of or recycle equipment merely because three months have passed.
13. Complaints
Please contact services@techpro247.co.uk or 020 7998 6930 and include the booking, job, invoice or buyback reference. We will review the relevant records and explain our response and any proposed remedy.
We will give information about an alternative dispute resolution provider where the law, a contract or another applicable arrangement requires us to do so.
14. Personal information
Our Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect, why we use it, who receives it, how long we keep it and the rights available to individuals.
Service administration messages are separate from optional marketing. A marketing choice does not affect a booking, repair, enquiry or buyback request.
15. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms for future requests. The version accepted for an existing contract remains part of the evidence for that contract unless a change is required by law or both sides expressly agree a variation. Updating the website does not silently rewrite an existing agreement.
16. Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. A consumer keeps any mandatory right to bring proceedings in another court that applicable consumer law gives them.
